Présentation
I’m a writer and first-time filmmaker based in Paris, currently developing an English-language independent feature film adapted from my writing: Johnny Adams’ Bespoke Photography Club.
The project is a character-driven drama about connection, memory, photography, complicated relationships, and the people who help us feel like we belong. I’m especially interested in emotionally honest, visually rich films — stories told through small moments, awkward conversations, colour, light and silence.
I’m currently building a collaborative team of actors, filmmakers, photographers, editors, sound people and creatives in Paris. The project is low-budget and volunteer-based at this stage, but the aim is to make it organised, generous and genuinely worthwhile for everyone involved, with proper credit, food on shoot days, and useful material for reels/portfolios where possible.
I’m also documenting the behind-the-scenes process as part of the project, so I’m interested in meeting people who want to help both with the film itself and with the story of making it.
Mes goûts et convictions
I’m drawn to character-driven cinema: films about connection, memory, awkwardness, longing, friendship, family, and the small emotional moments that shape people’s lives. I love visually rich but emotionally restrained films, stories where colour, light, silence and ordinary spaces carry as much meaning as dialogue.
I believe independent filmmaking should be collaborative, generous and human. For this project, I’m interested in creating something low-budget but serious, organised but playful, and worthwhile for everyone involved. I care less about perfection and more about emotional truth: people on screen who feel real, complicated, funny, wounded and alive.
